Apartment in monumental building

On Agias Sofias Str., Thessaloniki, there is a completely restored monumental building. The 6^th floor is divided into two symmetrical apartments on the two sides of an internal patio. One of them is arranged as a residence with two rooms, living and dining room, kitchen, two bathrooms and storage. Several bookshelves were designed, in order to store the 1500 books of the owner.

Every particular corner was designed in order to find available space while keeping functionality and comfort in balance. Tones of blue and green are dominant. In the living room there is one prominent column which is covered with metal plates, reminding the building’s concrete frame reinforcement.
